Working Languages
The journal has a multilingual orientation. The following languages are accepted for the submission of original contributions: French, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
Peer Review Process
JDTL is a peer-reviewed journal. All research articles undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, their scholarly quality, their compliance with the journal’s guidelines, and basic ethical and formal requirements.
Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are sent for double-anonymous peer review to at least two reviewers selected from among the members of the Scientific Commitee with appropriate subject expertise. Reviewers are selected by the editorial team on the basis of expertise, absence of conflicts of interest, and availability.
In double-anonymous peer review, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.
The editorial team makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection on the basis of the reviewers’ reports and the journal’s editorial standards.
Publication Frequency
JDTL publishes two issues per year and follows a continuous publication model within each issue. Special issues may also be published when appropriate.
Open Access Policy
The journal adheres to a "Diamond Open Access" policy for all its content, based on the belief that free and open access to research, for both authors and readers, ensures greater knowledge sharing.
By submitting an article to the journal, the author implicitly agrees to its publication under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
This license allows anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the contributions. The works must be properly attributed to their respective authors. No further permissions are required from the authors or the journal's editorial team.
Authors who publish in this journal retain their copyright.
JDTL does not charge authors any fees at any stage of the editorial process.
There are no article processing charges (APCs) and no submission fees. The journal does not charge any fees for peer review, editorial processing, language editing, copy-editing, page charges, colour charges, publication, or any other author-side service.
Journal's Code of Ethics
The following ethical code is inspired by and refers to the COPE Code of Conduct.
JDTL is a peer-reviewed journal and follows this model for the publication of scientific articles. All parties involved in the publication process – author, journal editor, reviewers, and publisher – are aware of and adhere to the required ethical standards.
Repository Policy / Self-Archiving
JDTL allows authors to deposit any version of their work, including the submitted manuscript, the accepted manuscript, and the published version of record, in an institutional or other repository of their choice. Authors should acknowledge the original publication in JDTL and include the DOI or link to the version of record where available.
Data Policy
Authors are encouraged to follow the principles of Open Science and FAIR guidelines by publishing the research data associated with their articles in trusted data repositories, in line with best international practices and data management guidelines.
