Working Languages

The journal has a multilingual orientation. The following languages are accepted for the submission of original contributions: French, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.

Peer Review Process

JDTL is a peer-reviewed journal. Every submission, whether through a public call or by recommendation for publication, is initially reviewed by at least one of the editors. If, upon initial review, the submission is deemed acceptable for the journal, it is sent to at least two reviewers chosen from the editorial board for a thorough evaluation. As part of the preliminary checks, each article is subjected to plagiarism detection.

The selection of reviewers for each submission is the responsibility of the editorial team and takes into account various factors, including experience, expertise, recommendations from authors or other editors, and the handling of any prior reviews.

The peer-review method used is “double-blind,” meaning that the author does not know the identity of the reviewers, and likewise, the reviewers do not know the identity of the author whose work they are evaluating.

The goal of the review is to provide authors with informed and well-reasoned feedback on the quality of their submission. Reviews should also offer guidance on how authors can improve their contributions to ensure publication.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published semi-annually with a continuous publication model. Special issues may occasionally be published outside the regular schedule.

Open Access Policy

The journal adheres to a "Diamond Open Access" policy for all its content, based on the belief that free and open access to research, for both authors and readers, ensures greater knowledge sharing.

By submitting an article to the journal, the author implicitly agrees to its publication under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

This license allows anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the contributions. The works must be properly attributed to their respective authors. No further permissions are required from the authors or the journal's editorial team.

Authors who publish in this journal retain their copyright.

The journal does not charge any fees for article submission or review.

Journal's Code of Ethics

The following ethical code is inspired by and refers to the COPE Code of Conduct.

JDTL is a peer-reviewed journal and follows this model for the publication of scientific articles. All parties involved in the publication process – author, journal editor, reviewers, and publisher – are aware of and adhere to the required ethical standards.

Data Policy

Authors are encouraged to follow the principles of Open Science and FAIR guidelines by publishing the research data associated with their articles in trusted data repositories, in line with best international practices and data management guidelines.
